Lecture/Seminar Graduate Student Seminar: SAPPP: the Software-aware Power and Performance Profiler 2017-05-24 13:00:00
Description

Speaker: Saman Khoshbakht
Supervisor: Dr. Nikitas Dimopoulos

ABSTRACT

The amount of energy and other resources required to execute a workload varies during runtime, making it important to be able to profile the execution according to code sections in the source code. This work describes SAPPP, a low-overhead online profiling tool capable of collecting user-defined processor performance metrics along with power estimate and real power measurements and reporting them in accordance with pre-defined sections of the source code.
