Description:Together, the Division of Medical Sciences and the Department of Biology host Dr. David Kleinfeld on Thursday, April 19th.David Kleinfeld's group at UCSD studies issues in Systems Neuroscience, with a focus on perception and sensorimotor control in the vibrissa system as well as on the topology and neuronal coupling of corticol vasculature. He will speak on the latter topic, with a focus on the use of nonlinear imaging to reveal the nature of cortical blood flow. This work revealed points of robustness versus weakness, hence the relation to microinfarcts in disease, as well as points of likely neuronal control.
