At the invitation of President Dave Turpin, with the support of VPR, ONC, CFGS and others on campus, UVIC is hosting the 11th biennial conference of the Aquatic Ecosystem Health and Management Society, June 17-20, 2013. 

AEHMS 11 aims to bridge the gap between scientific research, policy debates and public deliberation.  Conference organizer have invited contributions from scientists around the world, especially up-and-coming scientists bringing a fresh perspective, who are involved in active fundamental research. 

They have also welcomed academics and others addressing the challenges of (and technologies for) bringing the essential messages from that work into public discussion and policy networks.
