| Description
|
The demographic profile of the capital region is changing. As the population size and structure changes, demands for labour, housing, health care, transportation, education and many other aspects of our region will change over the years to come. By planning ahead, the region will be able to take advantage of opportunities and prepare for a prosperous future.
Decision makers, planners, researchers and the general public will discuss the opportunities, challenges and options created by these anticipated changes and seek ways to work together effectively.
A New Leaf: Turning to Our Region's Future provides an opportunity to consider the potential impact of demographic change in our region. This two-day event includes a public lecture on Thursday, February 21, 2013 (7:00 pm) and a discussion forum on Friday, February 22, 2013 (8:30 am - 4:30 pm).
The public lecture is free of charge and no registration or tickets are required. To attend the discussion forum, registration and a fee applies. View the full program.
